Snow in The Cuillin

Hello,

my brother in law lives up in Skye and says there is snow at the moment on The Cuillin - I’ve booked a wee holiday to go up on Friday and do a section of the ridge. Doesn’t anyone know the likelihood of snow staying? I know Skye doesn’t usually keep snow for long due to being so close to the see.

don’t want a wasted journey up.

There is snow to sea level in Skye at the moment.  A lot of deep  unconsolidated snow in Torridon so imagine Skye is no different. Staying cold through Friday with a rise in temperatures on Saturday and during the first 4-5 days of next week. Sea level temperatures by Monday look 8- 10 degrees so this will lead to thawing on tops. Maybe getting colder again later next week
