Not sure if this is quite the right forum, but anyway...

I'm going to be walking the Aviemore to Aberlour section of the Speyside Way, it's basically an excuse for a jolly with a couple of lads from work who loved the area when we were working there last year but who aren't up for big mountain days.

We're looking to leave one of the vehicles in Aviemore for 2-3 days and I'm after suggestions for somewhere to park that won't incur fines or the wrath of the locals. There  was that bit of land near the turn-off for the YHA but not sure what's going on with that these days. 

Any suggestions welcome, ta.

A friend left his van at the woodland car park at Rothiemurchus (https://maps.app.goo.gl/AQe6SDaqdsqYVPQS9) for two nights last month with no problems. We didn't see any signage banning overnight parking.

Behind the railway station, long stay carpark. Turn down Dalfaber rd by the Old bridge inn. Continue on foot along Dalfaber rd to start your walk.

As suggested above. Behind the railway station near the old bridge inn, is the best place to leave your van. 
or alternatively by route 7 cafe would also be fine

I left my small Berlingo camper in the YHA for a small sum. I am a Member and had meals before and after the walking hikes; cheaper than local restaurants. I slept in the van and didn't need to use the dorms. Done that in other YHAs. Cheaper, and better for me, than local restaurants. If needed they usually have bottled beer; caution needed there if you are going back to your parked vehicle as you are still in charge of it.
