Hi - does anyone know if the Taagan Campsite is still available and open this time of year (next week). I gather it's donation based? I'm hoping to get up Slioch and to stop there after a long drive up.

I've used the Torridon one a couple of times and although it's great, finding a dry pitch can be tricky and it's further away from Kinlochewe as a starting point. 

Any up to date info would be great! Thanks. 

Don't have any recent knowledge but I was there last March then again in the summer. The camping area was pretty waterlogged both times.

It's open all year as far as I'm aware (although the toilet block might not be).

Officially now closed in winter as per a sign that appeared a couple of years ago, and requests campervans and Motorhomes to go elsewhere at all times of year. As per the original rationale for providing the facility.

Unofficially operating as it always did, turn up keep a low profile (there is a private residence close by). donations now requested; put your money in the box. Stay a night or two, move on. Very basic Toilets (no showers), and tap; only ever found these closed in a very hard winter. Stayed many times in winter without issue or comment since the new signs.

If Toilets closed the visitor centre ones are often open even in winter, and the village has them as well.
