looking for some wild camping recs near blencathra, ideally out of the way as it’s the busy season…

bonus would be camper van parking tips around there as I’m yet to drive over that way.

Check out OS maps for the area, will find loads of possibilities that way.

Some general info from LDNPA re wild camping here: https://www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/visiting/where-to-stay/wild-camping?fbclid=...

This is the way to go, Georgia, rather than putting specific locations online. The obvious places will (obviously) be next to popular routes up the fell and likely be used more than a beck away from the trade routes. There is a problem in the Lakes (and other areas) with irresponsible 'wild campers' leaving rubbish and damaging the environment, most likely driven by social media publicising some locations. Just try walking up a beck or gill and you'll soon spot something. It's how we did it in the past (still do) and it's always worked. When you find your spot please keep it to yourself and leave it as you found it or better. Have fun!

Just look on the map for small isolate valleys/cwms/corries, ideally on the lee side of the wind that day.
