Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a walking route in the White Peak? Ideally, something with some steep hills in it to really challenge the legs, but a short enough circuit that it could be done in 3 hours, maybe 4 hours tops, by someone with a reasonable level of fitness.

Any ideas? Danke!

To cut it short, don’t do the bit to Luds Church and cut short at roach end.

Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Hill from Earl Sterndale is an excellent little circuit in good weather, with some steep ground and exposure. You'll need to check conditions however as parts of this will be approaching grade I terrain in winter conditions

A great choice http://www.happyhiker.co.uk/MyWalks/PeakDistrict/ParkhouseHillandChromeHill...
I did this just after the access to Chrome Hill was opened but Parkhouse was an undercover operation at that time.
