And Richard, Im sure your a lovely person but I'm going to have to refuse the offer of your company because this is a make it up to the gf meal. Because I went up to the Ben over valentines weekend when I said I would see her so bringing some "random guy off UKC" may not go down well!

Bay of Bengal on Bishopthorpe Road is not bad, it's not licensed though, so you have to bring your own alcohol

Mirchez on Fishergate. Small, not especially plush and bring your own booze but good food.

They have a website with a menu and prices...pretty reasonable but you will need to book if its a weekend.
