Are these any good? Up to the usual good Aldi standard for dead cheap electronics? NOt that bothered about digital TV but the HD recorder is probably a good idea and the digital TV will be a bonus (as long as I don't get addicted to mush - hopefully just use it for BBC3 and 4...)

In reply to Kenny: Well i just bought the freeview box, its okay, occasionally goes a bit wonky for a few mins and picture 'freezes'(£27)cant complain. Did buy the Dab radio they were selling, but it developed a fault and would lose the station when running on batteries rather than mains, super sound quality too. But amazing refund policy, just go back with the reciept, and they dont even ask whats wrong, go to checkout for refund or replacement..so its worth giving it a try!

In reply to Kenny:

Don't fret. There isn't enough mush to become addicted to on Freeview.

Cheers,
D.
(Currently suffering mush withdrawal due to breakdown of Sky Digital system!)

Sounds like a bargain, I payed £200 for a 40GB one a couple of years ago at Dixons.

I think dfferences in quality between cheap and expensive electronics goods like this are slight.

I must admit I read this as 'Aldi Twid Turner Freeview' etc.

Where did I put my reading glasses ?

In reply to Tyler: I bought an 80Gb Panasonic one for 170 quid from Richer Sounds not so long ago, its very nice. Hardon is right about BBC3 though.
