FEDEX delivery problems - bright ideas?

I have a problem with a delivery that FEDEX say they have delivered but I have not received. Any ideas how it works from here? I bought something from urbanrock who provided a great service as ever. I checked on the FEDEX site yesterday, and it said they attemtped delivery and left a card on Wednesday, and also that they delivered it to a neighbour (and the tracking site gives his surname) yesterday morning after attempting delivery to my flat at 8.27 am. I received no delivery card on Wednesday and I was in my flat at 8.27 am yesterday (and awake and up and about) and there was no delivery. I have checked with my neighbours and no one has my parcel. Customer services gave a standard pile of crap about it being delivered, but they cannot provide any other details apart from a name - interestingly, they have no details of which flat this mystery man lives in. Either they have delivered it to the wrong address or something else has happened. If it doesn't turn up, has anyone got any experience of what happens next? In short, if it doesn't arrive, I want a refund of cost price from FEDEX. Am I likely to get this?

In reply to nickinscottishmountains: Go back to urban rock and tell them their courier has failed to deliver. It shouldn't be your problem. On the odd occasion I've had this happen in the past normally the online retailer has sent out a second shipment and then chased the first with Fedex or DHL or whoever themselves.

In reply to nickinscottishmountains: had this with a Fedex international priority delivery for a rather expensive engagement ring!
The supplier wasnt very happy about it as I had a delivered notification but no card pushed through the letterbox to tell me where it was.
The supplier wasnt very happy about this, but I went around all my neighbours (who are honest) and thankfully one of them had it.
Was in such a state of shock I duly got down on my knee that night and proposed rather than wait for a desired occasion.

The supplier still wanted to take it up with FedEx though.
