I'm thinking of joining a gym for the same reason's - especially with winter coming up!
Is anyone a member of fitness first? They've a centre very close to me, and the membership rates seem ok - bit of a steep joining fee though!

Fitness First is normally OK if you only want to do gym work. I'm a member of Esporta, which is a bit expensive, but you get a hell of a lot for your money!

Dear Sarah.

Forgive my ignorance. What and where is Esporta?

Pierre.

Not sure about your situation, but monst gyms will normally do a corporate membership. If you can get 10 (think that the normal number) people from your company to join, you don't have to pay membership fee. Worth an ask

I want gym and classes, if I'm swimming I can do that at my local pool. I went down yesterday as a guest of a member and I thought the place was pretty decent, even got quite a good social vibe to it which i wasn't expecting!

Monkeyboy, problem is I'm about to change jobs, no such scheme at current job, but would feel a bit daft phoning up the new employer just to ask about that! then again, a penny saved...

Im at Esporta, they do a good price for students. The facilities are really good and the staff are fab. Gym, courts, swimming pool and extras, good variety of classes, toning tables etc.

I run my business through Fitness First. Which club is near you? Bear in mind that enless you are at Fitness First Poole you won't have a swimming pool.

Give me a shout if you want and I'll pass on a bit of inside info on the joining fees and may even be able to swing something your way (No promises though!)

Thats a good sales pitch, I think I'm swayed. Damn, I hate it when I blow my pay cheque before I've been given it!
