Due to be in langdale at the weekend. Can anyone give an idea how busy the roads will get over the weekend? I'm planning to avoid the route and hoping to head for the coniston fells. I guess they don't close roads off but spectators etc. probably mean it'll fill up. Guess the hills won't be any busier than usual but expect the roads and parking will be. An idea of what to expect would be good

no busier than a sunny summer weekend. If you are over to Coniston in the morning you'll be fine as the earliest riders won't be into Langdale until 1/2pm.

Wrynose and Hardknott were closed for a period of time last year. 

And are again this year.
