Putting this in Off Belay for extra visibility.

I am looking at flights to South America. Using Skyscanner as a starting point, a fair few suitable ones came up in the £800-900 range. As expected, when you click "Select" and go through to the seller websites (Expedia etc) some extras get added on. In my case they are quite significant, several hundred pounds etc.
The same (and worse) happens when I go direct to the relevant airline website.

Except for just one seller.
"JetAbroad", who were the only ones selling the flight that happened to be the best one for me, at £883, and this did not increase when I clicked through (and it already includes taxes and hold baggage fee)

However, I've never heard of them, and I've heard in general some nightmare tales of booking the cheapest option through unfamiliar sites (e.g. you get nothing except a "reference number" which then turns out to only be a reference number for the reseller, and the airline on the day has never heard of you....)

General search for "JetAbroad review" etc. turns up the usual mix, skewed toward the negative plus a few positives.

Just thought I'd ask on here for the slightly more personal touch

Just seems "too good to be true" compared to many others which end up being £1200+

These days isn't it normally cheaper just to book direct with the airline?

In reply to Blue Straggler:

They look legit. They are an Australian company so they might be finding flights which are priced for the Australian market and selling them in the UK.

From the look of their website, i doubt you'll get royally screwed but don't expect any customer service if anything goes wrong. From the airline's point of view you are JetAbroad's customer. From JetAbroad's point of view, you've paid you money and anything else is a cost they don't need.
In reply to Neil Williams:

Often not. On my current thing, all airlines were either:
same
a bit more
£200 more
or in one case £800 more

than the agents.

I have however sorted my current thing out by, funnily enough, booking a direct flight with British Airways
In reply to Bob Hughes:

Thanks Bob. Yes I deduced that they were Australian and have been established for quite some time.

Regardless, as my previous post says, I am sorted for now
