Light entertainment for dark times.

My 16 year old showed me this vid from when he was 13. Sauntering across the roofs of all the shops on the High St. Little bugger. Well, I've always tried to foster independence, and was a tearaway too, so I haven't a leg to stand on. But as a parent I shuddered.

Better climbing than many other things that teenagers get up to.

As long as he is one piece.

Most kids that age don't tell their parents anything so be pleased about that.

Totally get it.  My 13 year old loves scrambling but hates roped climbing.  She regularly scares the bejayzus out of me.

This summers highlight was, me belaying her dad, he was on a ledge trying to get a bit of gear in as it was feeling a bit run out, this wasn’t the first bit of gear either.  Girlchild appears from round corner, traversing nonchalantly along the ledge in her trainers - “Hi Dad, what you doing?”.  Shudder.

At least on this occasion I’d managed to persuade her to wear a helmet.

My friends and I went to clamber across the rooftops of my friend's farm all the time for years  as youngsters ..until we got seen/found out by a local resident..It was dangerous, I am sure, but we loved it.
