Kitchen sink blank: should I glue it?

My kitchen sink & draining board unit has a blank to cover the unused tap-hole. The blank has come loose and I can't gain access to tighten it.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't glue it in place?
If not, would Araldite be a suitable glue?

Many thanks for any helpful replies.

Bonding it in position is fine unless you might want to get it out again.

If you don't then araldite would be fine. I use Araldite rather than silicone simply because it'll cure in an you or so opposed to one to three days for silicone.

In reply to Removed User:

You can get a blank that is held in by spring tabs, when siliconed in place it will stay in place as the silicone sets and is removable if required

I've glued our's araldite, we're never going to fit a tap where the hole is so why not?
