I want to order a DVD rom AMerica. It is only in NTSC format. Will I be able to play it in a standard DVD machine? Cheers, COlin

depends if your player plays ntsc. lots of them do, even cheap ones

USA is DVD region 1 & europe is DVD region 2. Is your player multi-region? Check on google for a hack to make it multi-region.

What brand and model is it? Have you tried googling? Also as suggested above, your player will need to be multiregion, and also, you TV will need to support NTSC as well.

The DVD player must support the region code of the DVD, and must either be capable of converting NTSC to PAL OR the TV needs to be capable of displaying NTSC video.
