Just heard this on the news. There is a sit in taking place apparantly!

In reply to blanchie14c: I can't see what option they have.. by modern standards its short and outdated.. plus other areas are available. If they were to develop a ski centre in North Wales I can think of far better areas.

In reply to IainRUK:

There already is one in Llandudno, which is not all that far away.

In reply to blanchie14c: I've never seen anyone use it when I've been there. One of those nostalgic things I guess!
In reply to blanchie14c: A slide-in, shirley?

Having seen the news report about this, the key argument that struck me was this: if PYB had available the £700,000 reported cost of replacement, what would you rather they did with it? Enhance what they can do for activities in, on and around mountains, or develop a new dry ski slope?

No real debate there for me.

In reply to AlisonSmiles:

I guess it was used more before Llandudno opened (I think it is older, right?)

When I was last there a few people were using it - but I would agree it is not a priority for them when there is a far better facility nearby.

In reply to Neil Williams: Yes I know, but there was also talk of a new one in the slate quarries. No matter how much they spend they'd still just be developing a very small bank..
