Am thinking of getting Setanta Sports to view premiership football games. Anyone got these additional channels?
If so, is it any good?
Also, how does this compare to sky sports 1,2 & 3?

Cheers me dears........

Gone for it myself. Shows a quarter of the premiership games that Sky does, 46 over the season. Are mainly 5.15 saturday games and the odd monday night game. Seem to cover all teams, no A-class fixtures as yet such as Arse V Manure etc, but a fair few "interesting" fixtures, NE derbys etc. Unless you are a golf nut / Scottish football fan you may not find much else you want to watch. Does have
a fair few French games on too though, which are quite decent. In the end costs a tenner a month, works on my lapsed Sky card and is month by month payment, so by far the cheapest way to get weekly Premier action piped into your house.

In reply to darrendavis: I think the sting in the tail is that you have to sign up to BT On demand. This will cost you another £10 - £15 per month on top of you £9.99 subscription to Setanta. I find that not being a footy fan saves all sorts of agro!

Enjoy.

Yes. Not through any choice of my own, they've just appeared on the virgin cable TV service. Which is nice.

Rather too soon to say. Ask me when they've shown something I want to watch.

Nope, hopefully the local pubs will organise it for me. As they do with the dirty digger's channels.

In reply to Jon Dittman:

Not true. Can get Setanta through Broadband, Freeview with card and Sky even if you are not a current subscriber to Sky but still have the box. BT have their own seperate Premiership rights this season, have about 100 games,
are delayed transmission and you need to pay for the
BT Vision thing, about 50 quid set up.
