Got the new album, brilliant; a bit more Hats than Peace At Last.
Anyway that's not the point of the post (so no Blue Nile are pish posts please!! ...aye fat chance...)
The thing won't play on my PC, my old spare PC or my works laptop. Hence I can't rip it onto my iPod. Have I just got a dodgy copy or have the record companies brought out some new technology that makes ripping more difficult? It's the only CD I have that I've not been able to put onto my iPod.
Are you able to explore the contents of the CD with windows explorer? You might be able to manually convert the audio files to mp3 or similar format with Audiograbber.
Same thing happened to me, it wouldn't play on any of the PC's here, but it's OK in my CD Walkman. I think it's "copy protected" even though it doesn't say so anywhere on the packaging. We managed to copy it to a bunch of wma files using a DVD-RW player. The shop said they'd give me my money back ...

Pain in the arse right enough. Kind of changes the dynamics a bit when you buy a legal copy and can't copy it to a digi device or play on your PC. I'll be damned if I'm paying for it twice through legal download though.
