In reply to Blue Straggler: This stuff is terrifying!

Example:

For some freedivers most of the descent is spent in hibernative freefall, taking advantage of the negative buoyancy conveyed by collapsing lungs.
In reply to Will Sheaff:

In fairness, "hibernative" is poetic licence, and "collapsing lungs", whilst technically true, is a bit of hyperbole.
In reply to Blue Straggler:

Agreed but I still wouldn't want to do it.

In reply to Blue Straggler: Nice one, but are there any caravans and deckchairs at that depth?

Yep, he just broke the absolute constant weight record twice in a week, now standing at 120m and William Trubridge has the "no fins" record at 88m (I thought it WAS 88m a couple of years ago; I guess that was from his or Stepanek's training dives and not in competition perhaps?)

Trubridge is the real freak of that lot.

In reply to Blue Straggler:

Sara being interviewed on American television. Worth a watch, she is a good talker and describesthe "art" of freediving fairly clearly
