Veal vs beef

I just made some burgers from Tesco veal mince and they were the best I've ever done. It looks a bit more robust than that stuff you see in France and is very very lean.

Reading up on veal afterwards, I expected it to have a lower fat content than minced beef, and was right. What surprised me was the cholesterol level in veal - much higher than beef.

Still, eating food which contains high levels of cholesterol doesn't actually raise your own body levels - right?

Yes, dietary cholesterol has little impact on serum cholesterol. Remember that every cell in your body needs cholesterol.
