Ok, this is a really obscure question but here goes...
I was hoping to sit a Genelec active monitor on a mic stand for our video conference system. After a bit of googling I thought a 5/8" to 3/8" thread adaptor would do the job. The adaptor fits on the mic stand ok but is almost, but not quite, the correct thread to screw into the base of the speaker. So, is there some other standard thread you would expect to find on pro monitors? Or is 3/8" the standard and the thread's already trashed?
In reply to Robert Dickson:
The adapter is 3/8" BSW, and the speaker is 3/8" UNC
They both have 16 threads per inch, but the BSW thread is shallower, int and ext diameters below:
UNC 0.3073" 0.2983"
BSW 0.335" 0.295"

In reply to Paddy Duncan: Blimey! Thanks for that. Hopefully I can find an appropriate adaptor.
