I have a yahoo email account. When I log in I get to see a few top news headlines before opening my mailbox. I used to have this set to "World News" (with a USA bias as it's yahoo.com rather than .co.uk I guess)
A couple of months ago whilst playing with options, I decided to try setting it to UK headlines. Now, instead of interesting major news headlines, I get inane rubbish about Susan Boyle, nurses quitting work over not being allowed to wear a crucifix, David Beckham suing a newspaper etc.

I can't seem to change it back to giving international headlines as the default. Any tips?

In reply to Blue Straggler: Ignore it and use the bbc website?
In reply to ceri:

Well yes there are plenty of other sources of news! I am just annoyed that whenever I log onto my mail account, yahoo uk seems to think "cat up tree" inane trivia is what I want to read, whereas previously I got to see "proper" news headlines. The question is about yahoo. Thanks though

In reply to Blue Straggler: the other annoying thing is that often they have "cat up tree: owner worried" and "firemen called to cat up tree" as 2 seperate headlines. Thats why i ignore it, never having realised there was an alternative setting!
In reply to ceri:

Ah you feel my pain then!
As I said, I can't find a way to change it from UK news to anything else, but I had managed to cahnge it TO UK news from international. If you've only ever had it set to UK, maybe you've been trapped from day one?
