Back in the 1980's somebody (Tony Riley?) took a series of stunning B&W photos of various Peak District crags. Some of these were displayed in local gear shops. ISTR seeing one in the windows of Tanky's shop at the end of the Moor in Sheffield. I think they used a 5x4 plate camera. Does anyone know what happened to these photos?
That's entirely possible. I haven't got a copy of that guide to check. My earliest Peak guides go back to 1980, with the exception of a Kinder guide, on papyrus
