Hi,
Has anyone used this site at all to purchase a camera, or anything at all.

Looking at getting Canon EOS 400d for £260.00

The prices are very low as they source from the 'Grey market', so low that I am slightly skeptical.

Anyone got anything good or bad to say about Axcor.co.uk

Thanks
Kyle

In reply to KyleBooth: there are shopping rating sites, search for one and type in company name. I would say that is too low a price even for grey market goods

So try to get Jessops to Price Match them.

For a real Bargain check out amazon.com (US site) they have $850 off the $1999 price of a Canon 300mm F4 L series lens. That's cheaper in £ than the cheapest on eBay. You've just got to get it into the country - not hard if you go there on holiday, use it and then come home with it.

From their site

"The main advantage of our service is, no doubt, prices. Our goods are not assessed to domestic state tax, as the product is sold to you directly from the producer's stock. We don't have to pay custom duties while delivering the product. We economize on goods delivery, our stock upkeep and accompanying expenses. We sell the product worldwide in large quantities. All this allows us to sell goods 10-40% lower than the average market price."

So you would have to pay import tax and maybe VAT (not sure on that). Also not sure whether you pay the tax on the list price or the actual price - probably the actual price but you'll need proof of price. I think import tax is 6.7% (source: google).

In reply to KyleBooth: Seems too good to be true, but they have offices in Manchester and London. Anyone familiar with those addresses?
Canon5D price is very low!
Bloke on the 'Live' camera has not actually moved

That's what I found as well. Like the old adage - "If it sounds too good to be true, it is"!
