Got a £20 book voucher and looking for Landscape Photography inspiration and/or helpful technical advice.

I have got and am very impressed by the following books already:

- Digital Landscape Photography (Michael Frye) (Excellent)
- Transient Light (Ian Cameron)
- First Light (Joe Cornish)

Any other suggestions for landscape photography must-reads or hidden-gems?

Many thanks, Simon

You could consider
Scotland's Coast - Joe Cornish
Scotland's Mountains - Joe Cornish
Landscape Within - David Ward

I couldn't agree more but have you tried looking for a copy for £20?

To the op, Colin Prior's books are pretty good

In reply to jockster: I have a few of the 'Landscape Photographer of the Year' books. I think there are 4 or 5 out now. Some nice images to inspire.

Have a look at

for Fran Halsall's latest article and link to her website. She's written a couple of books too.

A blatant plug for a UKC regular: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Remote-Exposure-Hiking-Climbing-Photography/dp/1933...

I'm not a photographer, so I can't really offer a substantive critical review, but there's some cracking photos in there, and piles of good advice.

Might not work for your voucher, but it's a cracking book.

Inspirational, no advice in it.

I second the David Ward Landscape Within and suchlike.

I was given 'The Lake District - The Panoramas' by Mark Denton for my birthday and am very impressed/inspired. Less than £20 and very well printed:

In reply to dangermouse101: How about John Beatty's book, Wild Vision? I bought it after seeing him speak the other week. Inspirational writing and fantastic, thoughtful pictures. Check out his website too for an audio-visual slideshow with a Jim Perrin voiceover: http://www.wild-vision.com/
(Sorry, no idea how to do hyperlinks).

In reply to Glenachulish: Oh, look, it does hyperlinks automatically!
