I have some digital photos stored on my PC and the size of the image is 423KB.
How many pixles is this? (is there a way of telling)
If I got these printed onto glossy photo paper how large could I get the image before the poor quality could be noticed. I'm not after a crystal clear image, but something to put on the wall (ie not pixlated), could it go up to A4 size?

In reply to joe j:

The 423 won't tell you the pixel ize of the image.

In windowws exploer, hover over the file and it should reveal the image dimesions in pixels.

Multipy together to get you image MP.

In reply to joe j: This size of file, depending on format, would go up to about postcard size without looking pixellated. For A4 you'd be looking at a file size of about 2mg for a jpeg file, assumng it's a photographically sharp shot to start with. If you put it on the wall you could possibly get away with A4 because you'd be looking at it from farther away.
This is in very broad terms based on experience and rough rule of thumb. DR
