The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour has returned to the UK for 2012 and is heading for Birmingham and Bristol for the first time on 17 and 18 Feburary.

Come along and be inspired by climbing and adventure films from the world's best film makers and see why more than 200,000 people across the globe gather indoors at Banff screenings to celebrate the outdoors.

As well as seeing amazing films, you can also win some GREAT PRIZES INCLUDING GEAR FROM THE NORTH FACE, A 7 DAY TRIP FOR TWO PEOPLE TO CANADA AND AN ORANGE G3 MOUNTAIN BIKE. The bar will be open too!

The night will feature a collection of films from around the world including:

COLD - Up until now 16 expeditions have tried and failed to climb one of Pakistan's 8,000 metre peaks in the heart of winter. Experience the chilling first-hand footage as Simone Moro, Denis Urubko and Cory Richards set out to be the first. They successfully make the summit of Gasherbrum II however the harrowing descent that follows amplifies their isolation and exposure to the extreme cold - and then when they are almost down an avalanche hits......

As well as COLD, there will be a selection of other brilliant and award-winning mountain films featuring climbing in the Yosemite, whitewater kayaking in Central Africa, mountain biking in British Columbia and skiing in Canada (check the website for the full progamme!).
