MBC is looking to recruit for the role of Marketing Assistant to join our existing marketing team. We are seeking a multi-talented individual, with a strong marketing skill set, passion and knowledge of outdoor sports, who is able to add additional power and resource to growing our leading portfolio of products. The role will cover various elements of the marketing mix but will have a strong focus on online with content population and creation. Initially based working from home the candidate will be able to work effectively on their own but have the ability to easily access our Newcastle office on a regular basis. The ideal person will have a can do attitude and be able to input to the role with their own creativity and ideas in line with the broader marketing objectives.
Duties will include -
- Online content population of UK branded websites
- Monitoring of retail partner brand representation and compiling corresponding brand images & assets in order to refresh and update.
- Contribute to maintenance of our social channels & blogs while inputting with own ideas and concepts.
- Supporting our athlete network & their requirements
- PR responsibilities including, product seeding, journalist liaison, product promotion
- Press communication – press release writing and distributing, following up with potential opportunities.
- Assist with the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, emails, marketing copy etc
- Press Coverage monitoring – keeping abreast with magazine and online coverage and distributing to team and brands.
- A long additional list of tasks related to the marketing mix that require a can do, will do mentality!
Successful candidates will demonstrate –
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A strong set of marketing skills, including modern media and marketing techniques
- A can do, will do mentality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and have the confidence to put forward own ideas
- Creative writing and web content generation skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with ability to work as part of a team and alone.
- Excellent computer skills, office, word, photoshop, CRM etc.
- An passion and understanding in outdoor sports
