Redpoint Bristol - Instructor Vacancies
We are looking for both in-house and freelance instructors to join our friendly team here at Redpoint Bristol.
We are going through an exciting expansion at the moment, having opened two new boulder walls, Flashpoint Bristol and Flashpoint Swindon. This is a great time to become part of our community as there are growing opportunities for progression within our group of companies. It's also great to have three fantastic walls to get involved with!
In addition to taking on two new All-Rounders (instructor/receptionist/general team member), we also have availability for qualified freelance instructors to join our team.
See below for more info on the roles and how to apply.
If you are an experienced climbing instructor and feel you would fit in well with our team, we would love to hear from you!
As one of the largest walls in the South West you will be responsible for running sessions with a wide range of customers of differing ages and abilities. As well as delivering high quality instruction you will also be trained to work as part of our friendly reception team and help with the day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of the centre.
At Redpoint we are passionate about supporting our staff to develop their skills and qualifications and providing continued opportunities for progression. With this in mind, we pay for all staff training and encourage staff to continue their professional development by getting involved in other aspects of the business - such as more advanced coaching, route setting, equipment checks, admin etc.
Further down the line, there is also the potential to progress into a full time Duty Manager position. We strive to reflect our commitment to staff progression by recruiting Duty Managers from within our existing team of All-Rounders.
Minimum 30 hour per month contract, but most of our All-Rounders work between 60-130 hours per month. There is scope to pick up extra shifts if you are keen!
Interviews, training & start date
We are looking for two new All-Rounders. One position will start on 1st May 2021, with induction and training taking place throughout April. The second position will start on 1st June 2021, with induction and training taking place throughout May.
We are accepting ongoing applications for the 1st May role, although the original application deadline has passed, so we would advise you to submit your application as soon as possible if you are interested.
The deadline for applications for the 1st June role is Monday 26th April. Interviews will take place via Zoom between 27th-30th April
If you are a qualified and experienced instructor looking for the flexibility of self-employed work, we are welcoming new freelancers.
Although hours are not guaranteed for freelance instructors, at busy times it is very possible to pick up full days of work.
There is also the potential to progress into a regular employed role with us in future. Freelancing is a great way to become familiar with our centre and be at the front of the queue for future in-house opportunities.
