Everyone Active is currently seeking  high calibre positive, supportive, inclusive and progressive individuals to take on the Climbing mission at our site in St Albans - locally refered to as Westminster Lodge. 

We are seeking a new Head Climbing Coach and Instructors. 

Westminster Lodge Head Climbing Coach

Principal accountabilities:

  • The ideal candidate will be Reliable, Helpful, Lively and Sport and Industry aware:
  • The Head Coach will be expected to take ownership of the areas of accountability below and develop them in line with the needs of the Westminster Lodge Climbing facility.
  • Assist the climbing manager in the review, development and delivery of the climbing programme.
  • Take responsibility for the climbing walls NICAS programme
  • Line management of the coaching team to develop a high performance multi- functional team where all team members are trained to the appropriate standards.
  • Oversee the effective delivery of the coaching programme, corporate events, and holiday programmes; provide coaching to customers as appropriate.
  • Assist the climbing manager with all aspects of health and safety including maintenance and fault reporting, data protection, safeguarding, security and effective delivery of operational programming within the climbing department.
  • Ensure that a high standard of customer service is delivered in the climbing department including obtaining    feedback from customers.
  • Cover the climbing manager where required
  • Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required

Climbing Instructors

We need a climbing instructor who will…

  • Be responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing of our climbing customers
  • Ensure there is clear and appropriate communication with parents and carers of all children on our courses
  • Adopt a proactive approach to customer service, being enthusiastic and reliable
  • Be punctual and have effective organisation and time management skills
  • Maintain records and update paperwork relating to coached sessions
  • Be able to work as part of a team and the ability to keep calm and focused during your shift
  • Ideally be qualified Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI) or have relevant climbing experience
