Hello Everybody!
I hope everyone has had an excellent summer enjoying good rock and sunshine! I'm Emma, writing as one of the committee members of the Exeter University Climbing Club.
This is a post to inform climbers that our club will be hosting a trip at Hound Tor, Dartmoor on the 20th of September.
There will likely be 20-30 university students, and we are hoping to set up 3-4 top ropes which will be in place throughout the day. As a committee, we will do our utmost to ensure all of our climbers are tidy, friendly and respectful! Every outdoor space is a shared environment, and we recognise that some individuals may be unhappy with such a large group taking up space on a crag. Hopefully for those individuals, this acts as some advance warning, so they can perhaps choose another day to climb when it may be quieter if they would enjoy that more.
Trad climbing is such an exciting and joyful facet of climbing, and throughout the year I hope to facillitate a generation of climbers within our community who appreciate and respect outdoor climbing! Thank you so much for accommodating our little club, and if you still plan to visit we look forward to seeing you on the granite on the 20th.
