VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR RESEARCH SURVEY ON YOUR EXPERIENCES OF INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING

Hello, my name is Rebecca, I am student at Plymouth Marjon University. For my dissertation I am looking at the experiences of indoor rock climbers who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, with a view to identifying the barriers that they face, and the adaptions, adjustments and support that could help them and other such climbers.

The survey is totally anonymous and should take no more than about 15 minutes. It can be completed by any indoor rock climbers in the UK who are 18 or over and are Deaf of Hard of Hearing (either medically diagnosed or self-diagnosed). The study is being carried out by a student who is a member of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing rock climbing community. More information is available in the link.

It would help so much if you could complete the survey and consent form.

Finally, after completing the survey, I would be grateful if you would also be willing to answer a follow up questionnaire exploring in more detail what could be done to support and promote indoor rock climbers from the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. If so, please email me.

Thank you so much!
