I know there's quite a few climbing clubs in Edinburgh but do any of them regularly meet at Alien Rock over the winter? I understand the attraction of Ratho but it feels like a big trek when you live on the Leith side of the city. If they're also friendly and welcoming of 50 year olds who are unlikely to ever climb a 7a, all the better!
