New BMC Sandstone guide??

I've heard rumours of a new climbing guide being drawn up by the BMC (???) for North West England. Can anyone confirm or deny? And if so, does anyone know which crags are to be included?

Of course, this could be a load of rubbish. I did after all hear it via Facebook. Any info much appreciated, cheers people,

There is one in process, but that's all i know, try emailing Niall Grimes at the BMC, he oversees guidebooks.

In reply to Rob581: THat's correct, there is. Due soon, many proofs finished. Crags in Merseyside, Wirral, Cheshire and parts of Lancashire, simliiar to the last one (Chadwick and Cameron-Duff's). Not entirely sure when but hoping before the autumn.

Your post made me laugh too- "this could be a load of rubbish. I did after all hear it via Facebook",!!! so you go to UKC for a definitive answer? Hmmmm. Good luck with that one.

BMC Guidebook to Merseyside & Cheshire Sandstone in final stages of preparation. Not sure when it will be out, though. It will include Pex, Helsby, Frodsham & the recently rebolted and rejuvenated Frogsmouth plus new venues such as Harmers Wood.

In reply to Phase: How about the smaller crags dotted around the Wirral? Like Thors Stone, Grange Hill, Red Rocks, The Arno etc?

In reply to Mike Nolan: the breck, the arno, thors stone and grange hill are indeed included and have been completed. Other wirral crag(lets) are breifly mentioned under minor crags
