climbing scenes in this an absolute joke, completely laughable eg abseiling with no safety rope, ridiculous use and placing of pegs and theres lots more

What does this mean? Abseiling with just a single strand of rope wouldn't be particularly unusual as long as the rope didn't need to be retrievable. And I hate to gatekeep, but abseiling with less rope than that doesn't really seem like abseiling any more!

It's a movie where they're running away from dinosaurs and the abseiling is the bit you have trouble with 😂

I have just found and watched one of the scenes where a character is abseiling.

He is using what looks like a grigri and is on a single rope abseiling in a standard way. Looks pretty OK to me.

If you think using a single rope, with no extra safety rope, is laughable, then you should go to Pembroke on a busy weekend and you will be able to laugh a lot!

Safety ropes are only used in roped access and 'abseil as activity' situations, surely? Not in a climbing situation.
