UKC

Would anyone happen to know why UKC lists routes with the rockfax app logo, when the routes don't appear in the guidebook on the app? Just been so confused trying to find these routes in the app only to realise they're not in the digital Pembroke guide at all (not for me anyway!)

We have a bit of a chicken and egg situation when it comes to adding large chunks of data to Rockfax Digital. The routes you have found -  St. David's Head East - are being included in the new Pembroke and Gower Trad book out in early August.

Part of the procedure in preparing the book/data is that we need to synchronise the routes to their UKC version. This is important to produce graded lists and check other details. The problem is that, when we do this syncing, UKC Logbooks thinks the route is on Rockfax Digital immediately and hence gives them the 'R' logo whereas in fact the route is just in the queue. 

There is certainly a technical solution to this but it isn't high on the priority list since we have quite a few other things to sort at the moment. It will get sorted eventually though.

In the meantime, apologies, and please rest assured that any route with this icon that you can't find, will be there in a month or two.

Great response Alan, thank you!!! Seems I've just happened to be looking within the window of the data being input but the book not being released. Makes sense now.
