I spent this morning scouting Earl Crag for some bouldering projects and I came across this rather small buttress that doesn't seem to appear in the Yorkshire Gritstone guidebook or on Rockfax. I've attached a picture of it and a screenshot of where it would be in the Rockfax topos.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any climbs here that have actually been done on this bit. There's a few nice pockets that would make for some F3-5 warm-up variations up to the break, but the overhanging rock at the top looks rather mean and could make some for difficult Trad grades. I rather doubt it's completely unclimbed, but would be interested to know if anyone else has come across this.

I've pinpointed the exact place on Google Maps here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/hmwxrzZLQ5LcFwHcA

Solved it. The problems are recorded at page 5 of the 'Unknown Stones' guide to Earl Crag.
