The Fang, Gouther Crag, Swindale, Cumbria. 
We have just removed a very loose, large boulder from The Fang, Gouther crag, Swindale, Cumbria The boulder was at the top of the first pitch and had to be climbed on and Gouther CragsThe Fang (VS 4b)over to reach the stance. It posed a significant risk to climbers as it had become very loose. The climb grade may change as a result as the ledge left exposed may require mantle shelfing access now. Climb now safe to climb again . Regards Rob Holden

Very pleased you managed to get rid of the ‘disaster waiting to happen’ after I reported it last week I actually started to question my judgement …guess some people can get caught in a heuristic trap and just assume our climbs are always going to be safe!
