I'm taking the long drive from Northumberland to Oldham tomorrow. anyone from this parish there?

Or offer shoe advice? Old battered x talon 212s or new trailtalons? (I did buy a new pair of X talon ultras but they might have knacked my feet and be completely unbearable!)
