Please can anyone recommend a running belt/bag that isn't too bulky and can accommodate an iPhone, key and couple of filled waste bags from med/large dogs? Dicky bags appear to attach only by a karabiner at the top, which seems like they'd bump about annoyingly.

Hi, take a look at marathon waist bags. Montane do quite a range.

Hope that helps,

Gwain.

There are various canicross belts available, but they're quite expensive.

I ended up with a cheap belt from ebay and grafted a pouch off another bit of kit.

Not Canicross specific but I've been using the free belt pro running belt for a good few months now and absolutely love it. It would certainly fit everything you want in it and doesn't bounce at all. It's just whether it would be a bit grim putting a dog waste bag directly in it.

I use an E-zy dog lead that's about 2 - 3 meters long that wraps around the waist, and has a bungee section near the collar to reduce shocks.

I then have a separate bum bag for longer runs, or for short runs a flipbelt pro has enough room for hat, gloves, poo bags etc and a zip pocket.

I've had similar things frm Salomon, but the zips stuck or they fell apart, the flip-belt has been good for years now.

Ruffwear have a canicross kit with a pretty good belt, but it’s expensive as you get the dog harness and leash too. It’s pretty good: two pockets and a bottle holder. Annoyingly the pockets are just too small to take a phone.

We’re using Manmat canicross stuff now, but the harness doesn’t have any pockets, so a small bum bag would be needed too.
