I would think under 12hrs to be a reasonable time and under 10hrs a fast time. I did it years ago carrying 2 peoples bivi kit, stove, food for 2, etc and we wandered round slowly taking pictures and stopping for food yada yada in under 16hrs.

I think the record is about 4hrs 20mins.
In reply to Ollie B: it's only 30 miles so you can probably walk it in under 12 i'd have thought considering the BG is 66miles and can be walked in under 24 hrs.

In reply to Ollie B: I did it about 5 weeks with my club in 17 hours. we didn't exactly have a great start. We stayed the evening in a bothy in the valley with no sleep and left at 3am and walked about 2 hours just to get to the first peak foel Fras. I think if the weather would of been better we would of bivied on the top as planned and would of had a better go at it. Lots of fun though

Bear in mind that times quoted for the 3000s are often summit-to-summit, rather than road-to-road. That includes Colin Donnelly's record (4:19 as mentioned above).

The record route starts from the top of Snowdon but it's actually a more natural line to take Crib Goch first from Pen-y-Pass... slightly slower summit-to-summit but quicker overall.

Anyway, I did it last Saturday in 9:50 from Pen-y-Pass to the Aber carpark, and I'm a pretty average runner, so 10 hours is probably a decent benchmark in good conditions.

...by Billy Bland, who also holds the all-time speed record, over an hour faster than anyone else...

Walked it in roughly 9hrs, i just wished i`d tried it when i was running years ago, could have probably done it in 6, so i guess 9hrs is quite a respectable time.

10 hours, definitely a good time in the dry, awesome in the wet!
start early, say 5am. Don't want to be on the Carnedau after dark!

Did this yesterday. It was pretty wet with poor visability until I got to Tryfan so was moving pretty slow over wet, slippy rock.

From Pen y Pass to Aber I did 9hrs 20mins.
Summit to summit time was 7hrs 50mins

Should be able to get under 7hrs in dry conditions.

I first did it 7 years ago in 18hrs 30mins, so not a bad improvement!
