Hi,

Started to train a little harder and was showing improvment. Made it to V3 at my gym. My 'training' involved a small pull down on a finger board to warm up and I was finding it helpful.

Anyways last week noticed my left middle finger giving issues. Feeling of tightness or restricting on the last knuckle near the nail when making a fist, and slight tight when finger is fully extended. Zero pain, just not like the good right hand. So stopped bouldering for the last 10 days and planning on nothing for the next 10 days.

Just worried since it doesnt seem to be healing at all ? Apart from rest and no loads am I doing the right things?

Absolutely spot on with the rest. Hard to tell with the description but sounds like it's a bit tweaked/swollen/generally upset. If you're just starting out fingerboarding can be quite a lot of strain on your fingers; definitely limit your use and slowly build how much you do.

Rest it for a good two weeks or more then see how you're doing. These things can take agesss to heal and are very frustrating, but skipping rest will just cause more problems in the long run
