Hi,

I'm looking to go climbing in the Sintra / Cascais area. Have been bouldering and climbing for about a year and can do between V3-4. Would love to climb outdoors, but I've never done it before. Does anyone know of a guide they would recommend in the Lisbon area in Portugal?

Thanks!

Li

Try contacting the local climbing wall http://www.vertigoclimbing.pt/

Also Carlos Simes may be able to recommend someone. Contact him via the Sagres facebook page

ADA Desnivel (www.desnivel.pt) is basically the BMC of Portugal. They have a climbing school right by Farol da Guia in Cascais. That may be a good option.

Ahahah thank you for making me laugh! I only wish ADA Desnivel would be like anything as BMC!!!

My main recommendation is that you don't solo in and out of Boca di Inferno to retrieve your sister-in-law's hat - You'll get arrested.

Sorry I can't help with guide recommendations.
