I'm looking for volunteers to help me prepare for my MCI assessment.
If you're interested in 2 days in Snowdonia multi-pitch climbing/scrambling towards the end of June then please drop me a line - pairs would be ideal. I'm a freelancer so can be flexible regarding dates.
I am a teacher with 15 years experience in schools and have been working professionally as an RCI in the Peak District for the last 5 years too. I started climbing in 1990.
As an MCI trainee I do not, as yet, hold the Mountain and Climbing Instructor Award which is the recognised qualification for the instruction of scrambling and multi-pitch rock climbing in the UK. I've undergone the training course, but training for an award does not constitute a qualification.
Although I'm not qualified to instruct multi-pitch climbing in the UK, I do hold professional indemnity insurance which allows me to receive payment for RCI instruction.
