Hi all,

Im a newbie climber looking to join a club that can accommodate novices and help me learn the basics. I’ve done some top rope indoors and am used to abseiling as I cave quite regularly, just really want to get into climbing/ bouldering outdoors.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many in SWCC also climb above ground.

Remember a club is for like minded people, not just a source of free training.

Join a caving club. In almost every caving club a *lot* of the members climb as well, many clubs have regular official climbing/bouldering meets (as well as climbing with club members), so consider that a kind of  buy-one-get-one-free deal.

Not sure where you are exactly but try contacting these people and saying you want both caving and climbing
