Hi all,

I've got a set of ice axes in my uni mountaineering club and just discovered that my local wall has a small dry tooling section. I thought I'd check it out but noticed the picks on my axes say ice on them, and on the product website they sell specific dry tooling heads, but looking at the product photos I can't see any difference in the two.

I don't want to damage the wall, myself or the ice axes, so I thought I'd ask on here, can I use the "ice" picks indoors?

The ice axes are singing rock bandits if that helps at all

AFAIK you can use them on anything you want - however they may not work very well for ice afterwards as they will be blunt as a butter knife !

Ah great, thanks! I was just wondering in case they caused damage to the walls, the current picks are pretty beat up and we have some spares so I'll stick to using the older ones to keep the spares sharp
