Join Jeff Lowe for an historic lecture at 8pm, Sunday 5th December. For more information on the talk 'Many Climbs - Many Lessons' (and all other events) see http://www.heason.net This evening will be supported by Rocksport (who will provide prizes for a raffle)

If that's not enough for you, on January 10th Jim Perrin will read from his new book - The Villain - A Life Of Don Whillans. Jim will be supported by Sam Whittaker, with images by Keith Sharples. The evening will be sponsored by Infinity Ropes.

Also of note, John and Anne Arran, who were to be giving a lecture on February 6th, will be replaced by Alastair Lee with his highly acclaimed show 'Storms Of Laughter' which features shorts from his 'Kendal Film Festival People's Choice winner Twice Upon A Time in Bolivia'. Niall Grimes will also host a 40 minute super quiz sponsored by planetFear.

All shows at the Lescar Hotel, Sheffield.

Just to let you know that signed copies of Jim's book will be available on Monday night priced £12 (rrp £18.95) - one month ahead of release.

I just got off the phone to Jim and he has very kindly agreed to auction the final corrected proof of the book, in its un-bound form, with photocopied illustrations (including one that his cat threw up onto!) - surely a collectors item if ever there was one.

The proceeds will be donated to the Tsunami disaster appeal.
