Dear ALl

Had a bet with a mate for him to climb a number of big routes before he's 30 - mid sept.

To be fair, and to motivate myself i need a similar list.

Peak, lakes or wales.
not left wall, strand, dervish, regent street, no peak grit slabs as I can do most of them anyway.

thinking the big routes at Cratcliffe? what are the classic e2/3 on cloggy?

Also need pumpy training pitchs to throw myself at!

thanks

Big & classy E2 route in the Lakes?

You won't go far wrong with Saxon (Scafell)

In reply to alasdair19: Test pieces you say, good to see someone not after soft touches!

Cloggy: The Boldest, W Butress Eliminate, Troach, Shrike, Woubits
Cromlech: Memory Lane, Foil, Grond
Tremadog: Vector, The Grasper, Venom, Pincusion, Silly Arete, Geireagle

They should get you started at least! A long weekend at Whit should see them all ticked! (cough)

In reply to Nj: i got Shrike second go, and I've skirted round boldest eg boulder some reason I thought it was 4 points?

very keen on grond

had a terrible day at tremadog last year, find things quite hard there

cheers

In reply to alasdair19: Fern Hill e2 5b look like a fantastic line at specified grade at Cratcliff, definitely one for my start o9f trad season tick list.
Whilst on traverses Hand Jive e2 at Ilkley traversing above new statesman looks brillant too.
Telescopic demand at staden e36a is on my ticklist too and so is insanity at curbar. the last of which is apparently a good test at the grade.

In reply to alasdair19: Think about November, Serth, Silhouette, all on the East Buttress of Cloogy, and all absolutely brilliant !

In reply to alasdair19: The first pitch of Fingerlicker at Tremadog is a good stamina fest but safe.

In reply to alasdair19:
Darius, Deliccatessan and flakey wall at high tor (especially darius imho the best e2 in the country, on the best bit of limestone in the country)
This could be combined in a day with fern hill and 5 finger excersise at cratcliffe.
Scoop wall at stoney middleton
