How does the scoring work at bouldering comps? Particularly the Sheffield League.
As I went to the Matrix on Saturday, they still had the comp problems labelled from last week, me and my partner were trying to work out how many points we would have got if we had entered the comp, which i would have done if i lived nearby but Sheffield is too far for a midweek climb!

In reply to j_duds: It's normally 10 points for getting the problem first go, 7 second go, 3 third go and 1 point for fourth or subsequent attempts.

Not sure if that applies to the specific comp you mention though.

Thanks - how about holding bonsus holds on first attempt, but not finishing the problem?

In reply to j_duds:
1st go= 10 points
2nd Go= 7 points
3rd go= 4 points
4th or subsequent go= 2 points
Holding bonus= 1 point

You only get the bonus point if you fail to complete the problem and it doesn't matter how many tries you take to hold it.

Do you get bonus points for being bright enough to avoid sitting on the floor to start
