Not that I have an axe to grind, but after last year with some epic sexism and poor organising, the previous year with its rule changes and the subsequent fuss I stirred on these very fora, I was a little surprised to get an invite to the third High Sports Bouldering Championship. Clearly one has to try harder to get taken off their mailing list.
So despite High Sports' generous offer of a free t-shirt and "substantial cash prizes" I can't help but feel reluctant to accept their invitation. I wonder, is it worse to promise a large prize and not deliver or not to promise prizes at all?
