Just a heads-up for anyone interested in working in NZ as an instructor...

It's now possible to cross-credit MLT qualifications to the New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association qualifications.

The following MLT qualifications are accepted on to the NZOIA matrix as follows:-
ML (Summer) > Bush 1
ML (Winter) > Alpine 1
SPA > Rock 1
MIA > Rock 2

If you're interested in more information, contact admin@nzoia.org.nz

I've posted a little more detail on the MLTA website
http://www.mlta.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1655

Please note that, like the UK, there is no current requirement to hold qualifications to deliver activities but the current review of the adventure tourism industry is likely to recommend that a suitable qualification is held by instructors operating commercially.

NZOIA are also cross-crediting the BCU quals.

Again, check with NZOIA on the address above.
